We are proud to announce Steve Blum as a new guest! 
With literally hundreds of voice-over credits to his name, Steve Blum is truly a veteran of the business. He is best known for his roles of Spike Spiegel in "Cowboy Bebop: The Movie", Orochimaru in "Naruto", Roger Smith in "The Big O II", Vincent Valentine in "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children", Tom of "Toonami" fame, and multiple voices in "Digimon", including J.P and Beetlemon. He has also voiced roles in Witch Hunter Robin, Wolf's Rain, Blood+, Zatch Bell, s-CRY-ed, Giant Robo, and more. Steve is also known for his roles in video games such as Doom 3, Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, God of War, Crash Bandicoot, Halo 3, Dead Rising, and many, many others. Current Mood: impressed

02:14 pm - Cosplay Guest Announced! We are proud to announce Yaya Han as our cosplay guest! 
Yaya Han is a costume designer and cosplay entertainer with over 9 years of experience and 100+ costumes under her belt. After discovering cosplay at her first con almost a decade ago, she quickly absorbed the heart and soul of costume design and creation. To this day Yaya has made a myriad of costumes in the genres of anime/manga, video games, sci-fi and of course from her own original designs. Her intricate and lavish creations have won awards and acclaim nationwide; she has taught a multitude of panels on costume craftsmanship, presentation, makeup, wigs and more; and judged countless costume contests. Yaya has traveled to conventions within the USA as well as internationally to Italy, Mexico, United Kingdom and Brazil as Guest. Yaya is looking forward to Saboten-Con 2009 with great enthusiasm and would like to share her knowledge and experience in the fields of cosplay and costume design with everyone! Pre-registration is OPEN for Saboten-Con 2009! Register today to take advantage of the reduced price full event ticket!  If we still have tickets available, prices at the door will be as follows: $45 Full Event $20 Friday $20 Saturday $15 Sunday There are no guarantees we will have tickets available at the con, so the only way to ensure you can get in is to buy your tickets now.
This year's attendance cap is 1,500 attendees, so get your tickets now before they are all gone! Children 10 and under are free with a paid adult admission. 02:13 pm - Our First Guest! We are proud to announce Vic Mignogna as our first guest! 
Vic has been acting for stage and screen since he was 8 years old, but he started his career in anime about ten years ago as Vega in Streetfighter II. Since then Vic has been in more than a hundred shows, known for such roles as Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Tamaki Suou in Ouran High School Host Club, Fai in Tsubasa Chronicle, Ikkaku in Bleach, Yukito in Air, Takanaga in Wallflower, Dark in DN Angel, Kurz in Full Metal Panic, Broly in Dragonball Z, Kougaijji in Saiyuki, Tatsu in Peacemaker, Virgil Walsh in Trinity Blood, Hikaru in Macross and many more. Vic has also voiced roles in a large number of video games including Soul Calibur, Disgaea, Persona III, Project Sylpheed, DBZ, Bleach, FMA, and more. But even longer than his voice acting, Vic has been a professional music composer / singer / producer who has written and produced hundreds of songs for TV, radio, and CD. He sings the themes for shows like One Piece & DBGT, and has produced several CDs of his own original music. In addition to anime and music, Vic has a degree in film and works regularly writing, producing, and directing video and film productions. Current Mood: bouncy

01:21 pm - New Date and Location for 2009! Saboten-Con 2009 will be held October 30th - November 1st, 2009 at the Hilton Phoenix East/Mesa! We selected Halloween weekend as the date for our convention. After all, aren't Halloween and cosplay just perfect together?
As we did in 2008, we'll be teaming up with local stores to provide anime fests to lead up to the convention, so don't worry about missing an anime fest! We'll be working with the stores to make them bigger and better than ever with more games, more prizes, and more free tickets to Saboten-Con!
We're also proud to announce our first guest--Vic Mignogna! Vic is a professional music composer and producer, as well as a veteran actor best known as the voice of Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist. Recently, he starred in Ouran High School Host Club as the voice of Tamaki, and is currently playing Fai in Tsubasa Chronicles, Ikkaku in Bleach, and Yukito in Air. Vic is also well-known for his roles as Dark in D.N.Angel, Kurz in Full Metal Panic, Broly in Dragonball Z, Kougaijji in Saiyuki, Tatsu in Peacemaker, and many others.
